Head Teacher - Bachelor Education (Early Childhood Education)
Kia Ora, I have been involved in Early Childhood Education from 2008. It is my passion to teach young children to be confident and competent learners, my philosophy is underpinned by the fact that play is an important aspect of how children learn and as educators we must endeavour to create rich learning environments that invite children to explore and become involved in a wide range of experiences.
I believe that positive, trusting relationships should be nurtured between teachers, children and their families. I strive to ensure that parents’ aspirations for their children are valued and acknowledged. I am very excited to be working alongside so many professionals and being a part of Pokeno Childcare Center.

Kia Ora, I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts. My passion for Early childhood grew when I experienced how important early development is.
I am determined to make a difference at an early stage of our children’s lives by providing good quality care and education. From a young age, I have enjoyed helping my dad manage his other two centres and therefore this have encouraged me to step up and take a role to make a difference in the early childhood sector.
