E-Portfolios
At Pokeno Childcare Centre we have E-portfolios set up for every child on Storypark, which can be accessed from your home or work computer at any time. Our teachers create learning stories to document your child’s journey of exploration and discovery, special interest and strengths.
We believe it is important to celebrate the individual skills and abilities of each child’s development, providing support to revisit and practice as many times as necessary to allow children time to develop their own theories about the world around them and their interactions with it.
Storypark is a secure web based portfolio system specifically designed for Early Childhood Education centres and parents. It significantly improves communication with parents and whanau.
The idea behind Storypark is to provide a secure and interactive environment where teachers and parents/whanau can share learning stories, photos and videos and collaborate on children’s learning.
Storypark has also released apps for both the iPhone and the Android which are available for parents to follow children’s learning on the go. You are able to make comments, read learning stories, newsletters, policies, and centre events.
You are able to share this information with other family members you have given authorised access to. We hope you enjoy the learning stories and special magic moments we document for you and that you will join with us to share this special journey.
